WPS-HA Compact Global Report
This year I was responsible for the design of the Women, Peace and Security and Humanitarian Action (WPS-HA) Compact report. The report, produced by UN Women, reveals both alarming trends and significant progress in promoting gender equality in conflict-affected regions. The world is at a critical juncture. Last year, 612 million women and girls lived within 50 kilometers of at least one of 170 active armed conflicts, an increase of 41% since 2015. In addition, incidents of conflict-related sexual violence skyrocketed, a 50% increase since 2022. Women and girls made up 95% of the victims.

I created an illustration of a woman for each of the 5 pillars of program development. We decided that the design would only show the lower part of each woman’s face with the intention of creating a universal representation of women and embracing their diversity.
